Man I'm behind on my posts! Near the end of March, Spencer's work had a command-wide day at the Aquarium. It was basically a Friday that he could either spend the day at the clinic doing nothing (which he actually considered since he could have used the time to study for the GRE), but he agreed to do a fun day at the aquarium with us and then study that night.
Before making our way to the entrance, the kids burned some energy on the play area outside.
We took very few picture inside, and instead just tried to enjoy our kids excitement at seeing all the cool sea life. That and we were running all over the place trying to keep up with Shawn.

| Checking out the sea turtles. |
My favorite sea turtle area moment happened with Sydney. She was checking out some sea turtles with a dental assistant's little 6 year old boy (coincidentally also named Sean), and I walked over to talked to them. After a few minutes she said, "Mom, go back over there by Daddy," essentially telling me to get lost. That girls sure loves the attention of boys, and apparently I was stealing too much of it!
After seeing pretty much everything there was to see, we made our way back to the play area before calling it a day.
In other news: Spencer flew to Osaka to take the GRE a few weeks later and totally met his goal for the score he wanted!
